In October 2018, the government announced the names of 34 schools across England designated as national English Hubs, we are excited to reveal that The Greetland Academy was chosen as a designated school.

As an English Hub School, we will promote a love of reading and support schools across the region to provide excellent phonics and early language teaching.

The hub schools were chosen through a rigorous process – all 34 schools have an excellent background of phonics teaching. Each hub has a team of  Literacy Specialists that received additional training to act as experts in the teaching of early language and reading from reception to the end of year 1. The hubs will work with primary schools, targeting those most in need.
